Happy Feet Dance School has an option for everyone! Please use the following as a guide to choose the best option for your child to learn, gain confidence and have fun while growing a love for the art of dance!
Tippy Toe Program: Our Tippy Toe Program was designed for our youngest dancers (ages 2-6). The main focus of the Tippy Toe Program is for students to experience the joy of dance, while growing a love for the art! These classes enhance students’ gross motor development through foundational dance technique, basic tumbling, song & dance, creative movement, imagination and use of props. The program also fosters social skills, preschool school skills and develops a sense of community. Students will fall into one of the following classes based on their age: |
Tiny Tots Creative Movement class that introduces basic pre-ballet technique. This is an Adult/Tot class. |
Creative Dance I Teaches basic ballet technique. Also, introduces tap half way through the year. Creative Dance II This is a combination class, half tap/half ballet. |
Kinder Kids
This is also a combination class, half tap/half ballet for the first half of the year. The second half of the year, students continue with tap and learn jazz. Kinder Hip Hop
This is a Hip Hop class for our Kindergarten aged students. |

Happy Feet Program (Ages 6+): “Fun, Fitness and Friends” This program incorporates any style of dance taken on a recreational level (1 class per week) for ages 6+. The objective of the Happy Feet Program is for students to have fun and become more physically active. Taking dance class recreationally will not create a polished dancer. However, it will enhance students’ coordination while helping students stay fit for a healthy lifestyle. Fancy Feet Program (Ages 6+): This program was designed for students with a desire to perform. Students in this program take at least 2 classes per week, including a ballet class. Students in the Fancy Feet Program have the option of participating in the Fancy Feet Performance Company. |
Ballet is the foundation of all forms of dance, therefore it is strongly encouraged that all students participate. Ballet helps dancers to gain strength, flexibility, coordination, and balance, which are necessary in all forms of dance. This technique is also great at enhancing students' athletic abilities in various sports.
Contemporary dance is a blend of Jazz, Ballet, and Modern techniques. It allows for vast amounts of creativity and artistry from dancers and choreographers, as it can be portrayed in many different ways.
Tap is a rhythmic form of dance that allows students to create specific sounds through intricate movements of their feet.
Jazz is a contemporary form of dance that is usually performed to highly energetic music. There are many different styles that can be incorporated into this technique.
Hip Hop is a street style form of dance that is performed to energetic music.
