Meet the Staff

Meet the Happy Feet Staff

The staff at Happy Feet Dance School is comprised of a professional, adult group of dance educators who bring enthusiasm and a love of dance to their classrooms. Our instructors are YPAD certified, ensuring a secure, safe environment for all our dancers. The instructors continue to educate themselves through conventions, classes and seminars. Additionally, Happy Feet is lucky to have many student volunteers who act as wonderful role models and help with our younger kids’ classes.

Erica O’Donaghue: • Studio Owner & Director

Miss Erica founded Happy Feet Dance School in 2005. She continues to lead the school today. Erica has an extensive background in Jazz, Tap, Ballet, Hip Hop and Lyrical. She also holds a multitude of college credits in Early Childhood and Elementary Education, in addition to a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business. She is a certified member of Dance Masters of America, Inc by successfully completing the exam process. She is also a member of Studio Owner Alliance, which is an affiliation of dance school owners who follow a high standard of dance education through its’ Code of Ethics and platform for continuing education.

Erica consistently leads the staff and programs to new opportunities and growth in dance education. She continues to instill the joy of dance into her students each season. Her love of teaching and passion for dance make every child’s experience an enjoyable one!

Tara Cote • Instructor

Miss Tara studied dance for over 30 years at various studios throughout New England. For 25 years, she’s been teaching Ballet, Pointe, Lyrical, Jazz, Musical Theatre and Hip Hop in Massachusetts and New Hampshire. She has performed roles in Alice in Wonderland, Cinderella and the Nutcracker with the Ballet Company Dance Prism. She has also had the opportunity to perform with the SRO players and at the Celtics half time show.

She has choreographed for performing and competitive dance teams. Her choreography has won many overall awards. She also co-choreographed Happy Feet Dance School’s Disney performance in 2023. Miss Tara is dedicated to the art of dance and is excited to spread her knowledge to her students.

Lauren Gagne • Instructor

Miss Lauren has shared her love of dance from a very young age. She’s an alumni of Happy Feet Dance School, graduating in 2016. She went on to continue her training at Northern Essex Community College, where she graduated with an Associate’s degree in dance education in 2019.

Lauren had the opportunity to attend the American College Dance Association regional conference in Boston in 2018, performing for adjudicators from across the country and taking workshops/classes from guests artists. Since then, she has choreographed for our annual recital, as well as Happy Feet’s competitive team. She is trained in various styles including Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Modern, Lyrical, and Contemporary.

Samantha Gardner • Instructor

Miss Sam began dancing at the age of 2 and studied Jazz, Contemporary, Lyrical, Tap, Ballet and danced competitively for many years. She went on to earn her Bachelor of Arts in Dance from Keene State College. Her time at Happy Feet Dance School began in 2005 as a teacher in training, and she has continued her career teaching Tap, Jazz, Lyrical, Musical Theatre, and Contemporary in the New England area for over 15 years.

Miss Sam has worked to build Happy Feet's competitive team, Fearless Feet Dance Company, and is now the Competition Team Director. Miss Sam believes that a foundation of physical strength and form is extremely important for dancers as they progress in their dance education and likes to find fun and fresh ways to incorporate this into her classes. Miss Sam is Acrobatic Arts certified.

Andrea Natsios • Instructor

Miss Andrea has extensive training in Ballet, Modern and Jazz from some of New England’s finest instructors. She started working at Happy Feet in 2005 as a teacher in training. This gave her hands-on training with students of all ages and levels, in multiple forms of dance.

Once she completed her training, she quickly grew to be a well-respected member of the Happy Feet Team! She routinely choreographs for Happy Feet’s Performance Company and Competition Team. She was a co-choreographer for the school’s Disney performance in April of 2023. Her students are drawn to her fun personality and innovative choreography.

Daniela Ronga • Instructor

Miss Daniela is a 2018 Alumni of Happy Feet Dance School, who began her dance instruction at age 2. She is trained in Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Contemporary and Pointe. Daniela has trained in the Boston Ballet Summer Intensive Master Class Series, as well as other programs. During her high school years, as a student at Phillips Academy Andover, she was immersed in their dance program, having daily instruction in Ballet and Modern. She served as Co-Head of the Andover Tap Group Footnotes, performed in numerous productions, such as the Nutcracker and Dance Open. She also served as a Dance Leader/Board member of the Dance Board.

As a Senior, Daniela was Varsity Captain of the Andover Dance Group. She was awarded the "Andover Dance Group Award," which was the highest recognition in dance, at graduation. At Boston College, Daniela was also a four year member and Captain on their NCAA Dance Division 1A Pom Team.

Caitlyn St. Cyr • Instructor

Miss Caitlyn is an alumnus of Happy Feet Dance School. She danced at Happy Feet for 15 years, starting at the age of 3. During her time as a dancer at Happy Feet, she was part of the Fancy Feet Performance Company and Competition Team. She studied Jazz, Ballet, Contemporary and Pointe. She is studying Early Childhood Education at Rivier College and is scheduled to graduate in the Winter of 2024.
